Chicago’s wrapped up in Cellophane

It’s only a few weeks to go to STUDIO32’s latest sizzling musical theatre venture – it’s the Broadway spectacular “Chicago”, a raunchy musical vaudeville set in the 1920s.

Based on real life events the show revolves around a group of women in jail awaiting trial for murder, most notably Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart. Roxie’s long-suffering husband Amos Hart is played by Andy Kirkwood (pictured), who only recently joined the company for their last production “White Christmas”.

The show features some impressive dance routines and wonderful songs, including “All That Jazz”, “Razzle Dazzle” and Amos’s moving ballad “Mr Cellophane”.

As with the film version the stage show does contain content of an adult nature, and the company advise that it is not recommended for children under the age of 12.

Show dates are Wednesday May 30th to Saturday June 2nd at the Cardenal Belluga Theatre in San Fulgencio, all performances start at 7.30pm. Reserved seating tickets are now on sale, priced at 10 euros, and can be obtained by calling 744 48 49 33, or by emailing tickets@studiothirtytwo.org
